I have thoughts, views and opinions and, like most Indians, some pretty strong ones too. However, I may not always have the full picture to base my opinions and views on, and this is where I value your opinions and views. I am willing to listen to reason, and a different perspective, AND am even ready to change my views and opinions, if I am convinced that you have added to my experience in terms of thought, words or deeds. Thank you dear reader for your considered comment.

Traffic, Diversity, Chaos and Proof that God Exists!
It would look like something out of a comedy, if we did not know this is for REAL. I've driven in Ahmedabad, when visiting my parents who were at Gandhinagar ,briefly, quite a few years ago. And I have experienced this chaos!
Usha Pisharody: In the recent past, in India, I have driven in Chennai, Bangalore, Delhi and Chandigarh. Ahmedabad is unique - we can create a traffic jam at any cross road, and sometimes even on a straight road - because the guy driving on the wrong side of the divider has his headlight on, demanding right of way, and mind you the traffic cop is positioned not very far.
The gujjus sense of 'traffic cop not manning post' is very strong and God help you if you happen to be waiting for a red light to turn green.
Suresh: I have lived in Bangalore - left Bangalore on 30th May this year, and know what you are talking about, BUT Ahmedabad is different - here we create traffic jams at cross roads, even when there is only one car going in each of the four directions. In Bangalore, most people know the system but tend to disregard it, out here, it is, "what system- is there a system"?

Dear Sir,
This is nothing when compared to traffic in Bangalore.
