Oh I love the one about wanting a Puppy but getting a brother :) Which child will not complain at such gross injustice!
Once my daughter confessed around Christmas time that she was extremely sorry but now it was too late, she had already written to Santa asking him for a, she was truly sorry to say, a Puppy. I have that letter and reading these adorable letters to God brought back such lovely memories of all those written sorries, requests to be allowed extra TV time, and declarations of loving their parents the so, so much :)
Love kids speak :)
On this delightful note let me wish you and your family a Happy New Year :)
Usha Pisharody: Yes, you are right. These scrawls by little kids full of innocence were really refreshing, and so I thought i should share them. Happy New Year to you and your family too.
IMH: Yes, love the way kids can put things down so simply, and innocently. Guess life would be so much simpler if we did not loose this innocence, but then ....... Wishing you and yours a Very Happy New Year.
Thank you all for visiting and your good wishes. Sorry for the delay in responding....I was away on a trip and had cut my self off the media completely.

It was simply wonderful to see all those letters to God, written by tiny hands in a big scrawl. These letters capture the magic of childhood and pristine innocence of a stage that we all have to leave behind, perforce. But a child never dies inside us. S/he simply goes off to sleep and wakes up, rather unexpectedly. In moments, we least expect him/her to. Your sensitivity in reproducing these is indeed touching. It was an experience. Please do keep it up.
Rana Nayar: Agree with you about childhood and how it gets left behind, or rather, 'simply goes off to sleep and wakes up, rather unexpectedly', specially when one meets up with a very close and dear friend.
State of mind? and Solilo..: Thank you for your comment.
We get too smart, I suppose, and believe that we have the answers to everything????? maybe??? I only seem to get my innocence back when I get deeply engrossed in nature - it happens rarely but it leads to pure bliss.
Thank you all for visiting and for taking the time to leave a comment.
Yes, I do believe that it is only the simple things that really matter, but we get too engrossed in the material world and forget the simple but important stuff. Why??? I don't know, but i do know that it happens.
